MUSE OF HOS | 7 Question For Ashley Jade Callahan

MUSE OF HOS | 7 Question For Ashley Jade Callahan

QUESTION ONE
What’s one thing you absolutely love doing in the morning that sets a radiant tone for your day and makes you feel like you’re blossoming as a person?

I'm all about little morning rituals. Waking up a little earlier to ensure I have time to spend in the sun, doing yoga or journaling with a coffee. Mornings are for slow, quiet, me time.

QUESTION TWO
Can you share one exciting step you take each day to bring your dreams closer to reality?

I’m SUCH a daydreamer. My imagination is so active at all hours of the day and night, especially when I’m taking in art, listening to music or out in nature. Journaling has worked wonders for me in terms of laying everything out step by step to make even the wildest goals more attainable!

QUESTION THREE
Moving from the sunny Gold Coast to Sydney must have been quite the adventure! Can you share a moment that made you smile or laugh, despite the changes?

It was certainly a huge shift but a very necessary one! Traveling by car from the Gold Coast to Sydney with a cat that’s not fond of change was interesting. She’s very vocal so she spent the majority of the trip meowing in dismay, but it’s safe to say DaVinci adores her new home despite all the drama.

QUESTION FOUR
Could you tell us about a time when you faced a challenge but discovered unexpected joys along the way?

After getting diagnosed with scoliosis and having spinal surgery when I was 15, I was introduced to the idea that the body really does need to be treated like the temple it is.

As someone who has ongoing issues related to my surgery and recently diagnosed PCOS, I’ve found such joy in being fully present and conscious with my body.

There’s so much to be grateful for in this vessel that carries us through the day-to-day. When you’re faced with the risk of becoming paralysed, something as simple as being able to walk freely is an absolute blessing!

QUESTION FIVE
What’s your secret to feeling your best self, even on days when the world seems a bit cloudy?

It sounds cliché but I love putting on jazz, putting on some red lipstick and faking it till you make it.

Being present is my answer to all things. Even on the dark days, if you can allow yourself to sit with your emotions, and then consciously decide to move forward, that is the ultimate tool.

QUESTION SIX
What’s your current favourite jewellery piece from HOS?

The Meralda Ring has my HEART! I adore collecting rings especially when they have a unique element to them. It’s green, it’s gold, it’s dainty yet eye-catching. What more could you ask for!?

QUESTION SEVEN
Life’s journey is full of twists and turns, but each one leads to growth and new adventures! How have the highs and lows shaped you to the person you are today?

Mental turmoil has taught me to seek validation within myself, not externally. It’s taught me the sheer power of the mind and all the things we can all do just through pure thought and intention.

Physical Trauma has taught me the importance of being kind to your body. It’s taught me to constantly work towards building a lifestyle that enhances my human experience, not hinder it.

The lows in life force me to find grounding in the present moment and remind me of the complex range of emotions we’re blessed to be able to experience. They teach me so many valuable lessons and allow the highs to feel so much more intense!

The highs give me the driving force to keep reaching, they make all the hardships feel worth it and they’re even better when shared with the ones I love.
