Care Guide & Warranty
WARRANTY
At HOS, we take pride in the quality of our products and stand behind their craftsmanship. We provide a 12-Month Warrant/One-year warranty against manufacturing defects for all items purchased from us. If you suspect your item has a manufacturing defect, we will either repair the merchandise or replace it with a new, non-defective item within one year from the date of purchase. In the event that the original item is no longer available, we will offer a replacement of similar value or provide store credit equivalent to the item's value minus any discounts applied.
It's important to note that this warranty does not cover tarnishing resulting from failure to follow the Care Instructions.
CLAIM PROCESS
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us at hello@houseofslani.com with your order number with photos/videos of your item.
CONDITIONS & EXCLUSIONS
- The one-year warranty period begins from the date of dispatch of the goods.
- Normal wear and tear, activities, or trauma can affect fine jewellery. Damage resulting from these factors, such as product loss or theft, is not covered by this warranty.
- Common jewellery issues not covered by this warranty include loss or disappearance of charms and parts, normal wear and tear such as scratches or peeling, breakage due to rough use, and tarnishing or deterioration from contact with toxic acids and substances.

CARE GUIDE
Please note that all metals oxidise naturally with time and will require maintenance. Depending on your professional life, you will need to carefully assess whether your piece should be worn during working hours. If in doubt about whether you should wear your piece in a specific situation, be safe and take it off. Adhering to these guidelines will assist in maximising the longevity of your piece.
CLEANING
Take your jewellery off once a month and clean it under lukewarm water with a small drop of mild soap. Rinse everything under running water and buff dry with a soft cloth. For big tarnished spots we recommend that you to bring it to a trusted jeweller so your piece can be thoroughly cleaned by an expert.
AVOID
Chemicals and household substances that can weaken or damage metals, even if not immediately apparent. The most important factor in caring for your fine jewellery is understanding appropriate wear.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend taking off items when showering, bathing and swimming in chlorine pools, as well as when applying cosmetic products and perfumes. We also suggest you take off items when exercising as sweat is very acidic and can harm your jewellery. In addition to this, contact with exercise equipment can easily damage the quality of the pieces. We recommend too, that you take off items when cooking, washing up or doing any hands-on work, where your jewellery may be exposed to chemicals.
STORING
Frequent exposure to moisture and direct sunlight can quickly dull your pieces over time! We do recommend you use biodegradable zip bags to avoid items getting scratched and tarnished as moisture and humidity can cause oxidisation and tarnish your items, especially if you store your jewellery in your bathroom.

All orders are packed and dispatched within two business days of payment clearance unless purchased as a pre-order. All purchases made on weekends and public holidays will be processed on the following business day. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation to your registered email address. Please note all sales are final and no cancellation for any items will be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE
Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. Some delays may be experienced due to public holidays, customs, for remote areas, extreme weather conditions and issues with the local postal service, and this is out of our control. Moreover, we do not take responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen packages.
SHIPPING LIMITATIONS
When an order is placed, it will be shipped to an address designated by the purchaser as long as that shipping address is compliant with the shipping restrictions contained on this website.
All purchases from this website are made according to a shipment contract. As a result, risk of loss and title for items purchased from this website pass to you once the items have been dispatched to the carrier. You are responsible for filing any claims with carriers for damaged and/or lost shipments with Australia post. You are also responsible for tracking the progress of your shipment and ensuring you collect your parcel from your local post office if an attempted delivery has failed. If you fail to collect your shipment and your order is returned to sender, you are liable for the re-shipment cost and no refunds will be issued.
CUSTOMS AND DUTIES
As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local taxes levied to the country you are shipping to; payment of these may be necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. HOS will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you familiarize yourself with any import duty, customs and local sales taxes as well as it's rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products applicable to the destination of your package.
PRE-ORDERS
All pre-order sales are final and cannot be cancelled and are therefore are not eligible for a refund. Estimated dispatch time frames for pre-order items detailed in the product description are to be used as a guide only. Some delays may be experienced during production or due to logistics and this is out of our control. Please note when ordering a 'pre-order' item, we encourage you to pay for the order separately to other items you would like to purchase, to will allow shipment of your other items straight away. Your pre-order will then be sent after the arrival date.
Return & Exchange
AUS & INTERNATIONAL RETURNS
We want you to feel confident when purchasing. If your piece isn’t quite right, you can return your order within 30 days of delivery, including sale items.
Returns are simple and processed quickly once your parcel arrives back to us. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll take care of it immediately.

Before sending your return, please ensure your item is:
• unworn and in original condition
• returned with all original packaging
• accompanied by your HOS order number for fast processing
Please note:
• Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
• All items can be returned except our Imperfect Collection, which is final sale due to intentional cosmetic flaws.
